Handler ships ready-to-use official examples. Here is what each one does, when it helps, and what it does not do. You find them under “Official examples”, on the Automations and Packs pages.

How to read this page

  • A template opens in the editor with the Use button. It is copied paused, and you edit it on the canvas.
  • A pack is added with Add, then installed from Packs (see “Packs”). You tune it with a form.
  • Each card shows the permissions needed. Default texts are short, informal, and all editable.
  • A kill downs the player, they are not sent back to spawn. The examples' texts therefore talk about “downing”.

Seeding: rewarding those who restart the server

Seeding reward (pack, Server category). When the server has emptied, a session opens. During the session, each player's presence is counted, and is worth more when the server is nearly empty. When the server reaches the number of players that starts a match, everyone is credited. Credits add up in a bank, and each tier reached gives days of reserved slot, capped.

  • When to use it: you want to encourage players to fill an empty server.
  • Anti-cheat: if the server empties without launching, the session only pays out if enough players held on. No solo farming.
  • To tune: the opening threshold, the minimum presence, the minimum number of seeders, the cap in days, the weights and the tiers.
  • The pack ships its own view. The slots given also appear in the reserved slots list, with their expiry, and are removed on their own at the end. A player already reserved by hand keeps their slot.

Teams: random, balanced, stacking guard

Common rule: no player is moved before picking a team, because it breaks the game's sound. The examples wait for their first pick.

ExampleWhat it doesWhen to use it
Random teams (pack)When a team reaches the chosen score (95 by default), players are split at random or in a balanced way (kills per death, play time, clans kept together). The draw is kept for the next match. A player who changes team on their own is sent back to theirs. You want new teams every match, without picking them by hand.
50 vs 50 (pack)When a player picks a team, if it exceeds the other by more than the tolerated gap, they are placed in the other. Only players with no kill and no death are moved. You want even teams as players arrive.
50 vs 50 with a waiting team (pack)Players arrive in the waiting team, then are split equally between the two others. You prefer to spread everyone as soon as they arrive.
50 vs 50: server setting (template)At each match start, turns on the game's own lock on overfull teams, with a gap of one player. On top of 50 vs 50, so the game itself keeps teams even.
Stacking guard (pack)Once the match has started, a player who moves to the team that is already the largest is put back in theirs, with a message, and kicked after a number of returns. Moving to the smaller team stays allowed. You want to stop players from stacking a team mid-match.
Team swapping (pack)Counts each player's team changes during the match: a private warning at the first threshold, a kick at the second. You want to deter those who switch sides to scout the enemy.

The game does not allow blocking a team change: Handler watches and puts the player back in their side right away. For Team swapping, pick high enough thresholds, because the game sometimes moves players itself to balance.

Banned weapons

Banned weapons (pack, Moderation category). Every kill with a weapon from your list is punished: the victim gets a message, the author is downed with a warning (an ally can revive them), then kicked from infraction no. 4 and banned from no. 6, by default. Players are warned 30 seconds after they join.

  • When to use it: your rules ban certain weapons and you want a graded response.
  • To tune: the list of weapons, the infraction number that triggers a kick and the one that triggers a ban, the ban duration and all the texts.
  • Ignoring vehicle explosions is on by default: an exploding vehicle is not used as a weapon.
  • It counts at most one infraction per minute and per player.

Vehicles unlocked by score

Vehicles unlocked by score (pack). When a team reaches the chosen score (60 by default), it unlocks vehicles for the rest of the match, and announces it in game. Before that, a kill made with a vehicle by one of its players is punished: message, down or kick, your choice. Everything is locked again at the next match.

The game does not allow blocking a vehicle: the rule relies on the kill feed. A transport vehicle that never shoots is not detected, and a vehicle explosion is not counted.

Map rotation

Rotation is not an automation: it is a server feature, under the server's Map rotation. It offers an “auto” rotation that avoids the last matches played, a weighted draw, time periods, and the game mode applied (normal, infantry or hardcore). To react to a map or mode change (an announcement, a setting), use the Match start and Match end triggers instead, or the Match start announcement template.

Welcome and announcements

ExampleWhat it does
Newcomer welcome (pack)A private message to the new player, 15 s after they join (delay adjustable), with a pause between two welcomes. An optional played-minutes threshold also welcomes players with little play time.
Welcome newcomers (template)A private message on the first visit, after 15 s, and an announcement to the whole server so others welcome them.
Rules on arrival (pack)Three private reminders a few seconds apart, at most once a day per player.
Match start announcement (template)A message to all with the map that is starting.
Rules reminder (template)A message to the whole server every 15 min.
Cross-server announcement (template)An announcement broadcast on the organization's other servers.
Kill reactions (pack)A small word for friendly fire, vehicle kills and far-away headshots. A reaction chance and a per-player pause avoid spam.

Moderation

ExampleWhat it does
Non-compliant name (template)Checks the name on arrival with a regular expression. If it does not match, explains the rule then kicks.
Banned clan tags (template)Bans on arrival a player whose name starts with a forbidden tag, after an explanatory message.
High ping (template)Every minute, warns then kicks players connected for at least 20 s whose average ping over 10 s exceeds 250 ms.
Risky Steam account (template)On arrival, waits for Steam data, then alerts moderators if the player is VAC banned, has an account under 7 days old or at least 3 banned friends.
Repeat kicks (template)Counts kicks over 24 h and bans for 3 days beyond 3.

For a rule that is not in the list, start from the closest template: you can change everything on the canvas.
